A 6 pointed star of Koi – a koi pond on my last visit to Hawaii. If you look close you can see a black Koi next the the orange in the middle. I love the fish and liked the pattern they made in this mandala.

The Teasel plant has a very distinctive seed head which at one time was used as a comb to raise the nap on wool fabric. I liked the sharp edges of these plants; this picture is sort of a reverse silhoutte. It snowed unexpectedly yesterday morning, so I went looking for this ‘snowflake’ mandala.
